What is an ITIN?
The ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) is a nine-digit number the IRS issues to people who need to deal with U.S. taxes but are not eligible for a Social Security Number, typically because they live outside the United States.
It is a tax number, not a work permit or immigration status. Its job is to let you file U.S. tax returns, and some banks and platforms accept it for identification.
Why do you need it?
If you own a U.S. business or receive U.S. income, sooner or later the IRS expects a personal tax return from you, and for that you need an ITIN. It also helps beyond taxes: some banks accept it to open personal accounts, and it can be a step toward building U.S. credit history.
The application (Form W-7) is picky about documents and goes together with a tax filing, so a rejected attempt can cost you months. We prepare it correctly the first time and follow up until the IRS assigns your number.

Questions about this service
Why does it take 4 to 11 weeks?
Because the IRS processes ITIN applications manually together with your tax filing. The timeline is the IRS’s; we stay on top of it and keep you posted.
Do I have to send my original passport?
No. You send a high-quality scan of your passport (600 dpi), in the format we share with you. We confirm every document that applies to your case before you send anything.
Does an ITIN give me work rights or immigration status?
No. It is only a tax number. It does not authorize work in the U.S. nor change your immigration status.
Does the $199 include everything?
Yes. Preparation of Form W-7, filing and follow-up until the IRS assigns your number. No hidden fees.
